EMDR - Trauma and PTSD
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
This form of therapy is based on the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model.
The AIP model works on the premise that each individual has the capacity both
to innately want health and wholeness and the ability to achieve this.

However, when the inclination toward health is blocked the AIP model recognizes
many emotional and mental health issues as the result of unprocessed trauma or
maladaptively processed experiences. By identifying and reprocessing those past
events current maladaptive thoughts and behavior, and psychological difficulties,
such as skills or developmental deficits, are resolved to allow the client to live the
healthy and whole life s/he innately desires.
